Those of you who quit your banks and went over to credit unions (or those of you who've been with credit unions all along)--which one did you choose, and why? Do you recommend yours?

I have pretty uncomplicated needs--a decent internet interface, a debit card, access to cash, and a way of depositing cheques. And some sort of protection against stolen or hacked cards, preferably.

Any advice, suggestions, or amusing diversions?

It's a hard question to answer, because not everyone is eligible for all credit unions. Most credit unions provide the services you indicate you want, so I'd start by figuring out which credit unions you're eligible for (by dint of past employers, educational institutions, or locals), and then start looking at their reputations.
