Megillah commission #1 is going well. I have yet to write a contract for commission #2, but am not worried. The people for commission #1 invited me to be their guest speaker on Purim, which will be both fun and good publicity. I've improvised a writing-desk from two ring-binders and a cupboard door, and it's very comfortable.
Getting back into learning at school is a bit of a challenge; I've got a lot of ground to make up, but it's do-able, and nice to be learning properly again after such a long break. And my Wednesday afternoon chevruta was very fun today; we're learning Makkot, aka Beating People, and it was an hour and a half of classical gemara, just plain, no-frills, use-your-brain gemara, which was lovely.
I finished the Private Eye crossword all on my own (Adam!).
And now I've started making serious profit from calligraphing, I've been looking around for a desk and so on (the cupboard door arrangement is nice, but awkward if W wants the ring-binders), the dining table not being the ideal location. It's a rather nice feeling to be kitting out one's professional working space using one's own profits.
