A new phase of my life is about to begin...I'm watching Star Wars tonight for the first time ever. I had to wait until #3 came out, so that W could decide whether it is in fact plausible to watch them 1-2-3-4-5-6, without 1-2-3 giving away the good parts of 4-5-6. Apparently it isn't, and 4-5-6 would be spoilt if you watch 1-2-3, and anyway, if you managed to sit through 1-2, 3 would apparently make you want to run away and never come back.
This week's challah was gorgeous - 1tbsp marg:1/4c sugar:4.5c bread flour:.5c regular flour, and salt and yeast. Very yummy; just a little bit sweet, and glorious texture, just light enough to be luxurious, but plenty chewy enough to be interesting. We took some of it out to dinner, and it was a hit. Other Shabbat news: I slept for fifteen hours.
The vacuum cleaner is sad; it ate the tablecloth, and then died. Its sucking power has been drastically reduced, and it can't pick anything up any more. The tablecloth is fine.
