A miracle happened yesterday - I was runningrunning running to catch the 5.19 (there isn't another train until 5.52), and it was ready to go before I'd even got to the footbridge - and the CONDUCTOR SAW ME AND HELD THE TRAIN BACK SO I COULD GET ON! Most conductors would have waited until I was halfway over the bridge and then shut the doors with an evil cackle. Hooray for the nice conductor!
It was a very nice day, sunny and warm but not boiling bloody hot, so we took the tables outside and sanded a Torah out there. That way the room doesn't get all over dust. When we'd done that we took it back inside and worked on the front. The front was basically clean, so that was okay. Mostly patching tears in the edges.
I'd made a set of reinforcing tapes on the belt sander (like band-aids that you put over the backs of the seams as an extra precaution), and Neil said they were completely super-duper. That was nice.
