We had a housewarming party and it was nice. It involved pizza and chocolate and nice friends.

I also have a sefer Torah which W's mum's shul didn't want to fix cos it would cost too much,* so I said pleasepleasepleasecanIhaveitpleaseit'llbeeducational and eventually they said yes, so I get to fix it in my free time and then decide what to do with it. It'd be kind of cool to keep it around, on the other hand it's worth five months' rent and that'd be kind of cool too. The thing about having your own Torah is that you can always have your own minyan, and somehow that seems to be the sort of thing we do...on the other hand, the thing about paying the rent is you don't have to worry about paying the rent. We'll see.

* "Too much" is relative - when you have 20-odd kosher Torahs, spending anything at all to restore one is too much!
