b) a cynical way to drum up support for Israel, by putting Americans in Hevron and making them scared shitless of Arabs, so they'll support Israelis against Arabs
c) a cynical way to consolidate American anti-Arab feeling, by putting Americans in Hevron and making them scared shitless of Arabs, so they'll hate Arabs much more than they would from just seeing them on telly
