This week I am in St Louis, writing Torah there for a change. It's Scribes-In-Residence Week at United Hebrew, so I'm In Residence.

St Louis is a bit more wintery than New York City - the leaves aren't all off the trees yet, but at least they aren't still green. This global warming business is scary - and of course I'm not helping by taking domestic flights (which, may I just say, are still tediously and inefficiently obssessed with security - why aren't they employing Israelis to do it properly?). We've switched to fluorescent light bulbs, but I fear the points gained from this are far outweighed by air travel.

I went to minyan at Bnai Amoooooona this morning, and they were awfully friendly, and, and, they finished off the service by singing "God Bless America," and I've never ever heard that sung before by people who actually meant it! That was awesome!

I know I owe you some sparkly shiny posts about Torahs, it's been a little while since the last one, but I'm kind of pooped right now. Tomorrow I'm giving a session to a select portion of the Hebrew school, so you shall have the edited highlights of that. Hebrew schoolers always have something good to say.
