Utterances recently encountered: people who don't like what they asked for when they get it.

On bringing Freedom and Democracy to the Muslim world:
Americans have spent blood and treasure to help build democracy in Afghanistan and in Iraq and to combat terrorism, yet we find that people who are not Muslims can be killed [there] just for their religious belief.

On Jews giving charity to non-Jewish communities (emphasis mine):
Now, I do not diminish the problems facing these communities but one fact remains: These are not OUR communities! How many Jews suffer daily from poverty, anti-semitism and various ailments, inequities and tragedeies?

I don't get people like this. If you install a democracy, you have to accept that the outcome might not be one you like - people don't have an obligation to please you just because you gave them the vote. And if Jews don't help non-Jews simply because they're non-Jews, they can't exactly turn around and complain about anti-Semitism.
