I did a really stupid thing, called, deleted all my email, that is to say, I have lost everything from the past two years, by virtue of having reinstalled Windows and not got the right email folders out of it first.
So:
a) if you've sent me anything in the past age that you think was important or you want me to have (this includes your contact details), please send it again
b) please also send me the email addresses of anyone we mutually know, or if your scruples prevent this, please send this message to them and ask them to write to me.
On the plus side, there were some things in my inbox I'd been feeling really guilty about - well, now I don't have to deal with them!
