Nice wedding today. Friends from Pardes. It was very simple, but very lovely, lots of friends and family had helped them put it together, so it felt very communal and nice. They'd asked me to read the ketubah, and I didn't make too bad a job of the Aramaic (major hurdles: not knowing how to pronounce the words, and not knowing where the commas ought to go - obviously I looked it all up beforehand, but still). And they were all smiley! and everso sweet and lovely. And there were lots of Pardes people there, so it was nice to see everyone again and find out what people are doing.
And a couple of professional artists (guests) said I'd made a good job of the artwork, which is the first time that's happened to me, and makes me feel validated - it's easy to admire something when it's not your field, but not so easy when it is.
Will went to another wedding in Boston :( so I have to have a whole evening without him now.
