(no subject)

There's a copy of Rodin's Thinker at Columbia (one of the original monumental-size bronze casts). It lives on the lawn next to the lawn where we play ball with the dog.

We've been playing ball there for months, and walking past it most days, but only today did she notice Hey, there's a BIG SCARY MAN SITTING UP THERE bark bark HEY SCARY bark bark MAKE IT GO AWAY.

I climbed over the decorative "Don't walk too close to the Rodin" chain and took her up to it and patted it to show her that it doesn't move, but she didn't seem convinced.

Adam thinks maybe she doesn't like French realists, and perhaps she's more into abstract sculpture.
