A couple of Good Quill days. Writing on nice klaf with a nice quill is simply blissful - have I mentioned that? The writing just flows out.
I'm writing the early part of Genesis now; the generations of Adam, and the Flood story. These stories are old. We've had the creation legends nearly as long as we've had civilisation, give or take. Writing them is a link to something which reaches back a long, long way. While I'm writing I've been thinking about how cultures older than I can even imagine have been telling these same legends for thousands and thousands of years, and how scribes have existed as long as there's been writing, which was produced by the same civilisation which brought forth the stories. It makes one feel rather insignificant, but at the same time, rather special to be another link in such a long chain.
