I have a new laptop. It's very cute. It's also very nice to be mobile again. Wednesday afternoon was warm and lovely, and I worked in the quad at JTS and it was yofi. I'm building it up slowly - honestly. It came with SO MUCH crap on it. I had to spend hours uninstalling all the rubbish and putting what I want on it. But now I have everything working and it's mmmmmmmnice!

This afternoon I got a random call from a student at JTS, who was doing a curriculum-design exercise, and wanted to ask my advice about designing a sofrut curriculum. Well, goodness. It seemed that she wanted more of a calligraphy course than a sofrut course, because she didn't seem so interested in the halacha, and sofrut without halacha is just calligraphy, but that isn't the point really :) That's the second random person whom I've encountered.

Oh, and I've got another ketubah commission. This particular person has, for her wedding, registered the domain mekudeshet.li. Their wedding email address is harei@mekudeshet.li. I am so full of admiration.

It's funny, I feel like I can pick up all the various strands of my life again, now I have a computer.
