My Dad is visiting us in Israel!
We went to the gazelle valley today, and it was very lovely - they skipped and bounded most energetically. Reminiscent of that line in the Shabbat liturgy where it talks about people's feet being kallot k'ayalot - their feet are most extremely kallot!
And he wants to go tango dancing. I've just put him in a cab, and tried my hardest to explain to the cab driver where he was going - a particular hotel near the Israel Museum, surely not too hard if you're a cab driver - the driver looked at me as if I was a worm, and goes "eizeh rechov?" as if I'd requested an address in Haifa - after a bit of wrangling he said he'd do the best he could - so I do hope Dad makes it. ׂI don't think I'm too heartless for not going - this gives him license to stay out as long as he wants without worrying that I'm getting bored. But I hope the cab driver gets him there.
